HEY, I'M TIM NEWANS!
For the last twenty years, I've been working out how to combine my two passions: sports and statistics. Over the last seven years, I've been slowly make that a reality. Having won numerous awards lecturing in statistics, while working in elite sport as a sports scientist and data analyst, my worlds have slowly collided.
A few years ago, I started working as a consultant to sporting organisations including the National Rugby League, Surfing Australia, and the Queensland Academy of Sport, looking at how they can automate their data processes to help inform their decision making. Since then, I've consulted to over a dozen sports and built entire Athlete Management Systems for some organisations.
Now I'm setting up the Sports Analytics Academy to help YOU develop the skills and tools I wish I had when I started out to help your organisation do the best analytics possible.
